Crews put out fire at Auburn campus Lowder Hall



8:00 a.m. — Fire crews have extinguished a fire at Auburn University Lowder Hall.

Classes in the building are cancelled and police are investigating the cause of the fire.


AUBURN, Ala — Auburn University says in an alert Auburn Fire personnel are actively fighting a fire in Lowder Hall.

News 3’s Alex Derencz is on the scene where he says no other buildings are affected but classes in the Lowder Hall business school are cancelled.

The alert warns everyone to stay away from Lowder & War Eagle Way until further notice.

Lowder Hall is on the corner of Magnolia Avenue and Donahue Drive.

Firefighters tell News 3 there are no road closures and no injuries at this time.This is a developing story. Stay with News 3 for updates.
