Opelika Police searching for missing teen Yenifer Lopez, last seen in March 2020

UPDATE 12-03-2020 – OPELIKA, Ala. – Opelika Police Department Detectives have located missing teen Yenifer Romelia Lopez. Lopez is unharmed and has been reunited with her family.


OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) – Opelika Police are searching for a missing teenager last seen in March 2020, and are asking for help from the public to find her.

Yenifer Romelia Lopez was last seen on March 27, 2020 near 101 Veterans Parkway in Opelika. She is 16-years-old.

“The Opelika Police Department was not notified about Yenifer Lopez being a runaway until late November. Yenifer’s family and friends have spoken with Yenifer and do not fear for her safety at this point. It appears that she is just refusing to return home,” said Captain Shane Healey.

Police describe Yenifer as 5’2″, weighing 105 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Yenifer’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Opelika Police Department at 334-705-5220.
