A daisy has bloomed at Apple Inc. to celebrate Earth Day 20-18, but this daisy is not a flower–it’s a robot.
Daisy takes apart iPhones and recovers valuable materials more efficiently than the average recycling
system. In fact, it can take up to 200 iPhones apart in an hour.
Daisy is not the first disassembly robot created by apple. The first was Liam, launched in 2016. Parts of Liam were recycled to create Daisy.
Apple also announced a giveback program that runs through April 30th. For every device received at an Apple store or through Apple.com, the company will make a donation to the non-profit, Conservation
Be sure to take your used iPhones to the nearest apple store or to click the link below if you’d like to support the cause.
