With football season in the air, it’s only natural to start talking local ball. And this year, there are already a lot of changes.
We have 12 new high school coaches locally. Over the next few weeks we’ll be highlighting each one from the valley.
Last season Carver finished with an impressive 9-2 record… not to mention winning the 1-5A region.
A lot to live up to coming into this year, but coach Dre’mail King has a lot of experience.
He’s been on the coaching scene for the last 7 years but this will be his first head coaching position in the state of Georgia.
Coach King says this team is learning the new system, changing up the offense and defense and says they’re much further a long then he expected them to be…
“Mentally they’re prepared. As I said, we changed the entire culture of the program. And I like what we have going on. So the expectations are really high. But I feel like our team is really going to step up to it,” says King.
