Kennedy was arrested and held at the Russell County Jail on a $68,000 bond until his release Monday, April 16 around lunch time. His bond was $30,000 through Russell County, but was being held in Lee County.

Investigators say Kennedy had picked up the woman, after she was accused of shoplifting at a local grocery store. He was taking her to jail when investigators say he admitted to pulling over and having sex with her while she was still in handcuffs.
