A hostage being held by the suspect was released earlier this afternoon.

The woman’s name has not yet been released, but her son, Brandon tells News 3 his mother was being held against her will by her drunk boyfriend.

The hostage was safely released and transported to a local hospital around 12:20 p.m., Brandon says his mother doesn’t have any physical injuries.

Brandon says he arrived at the apartment around midnight last night, and after speaking law enforcement, he remembered they had cameras installed in his mother’s home, which gave law enforcement eyes on the inside.

You know, it’s we traumatized on this and that is this is something that’s never happened to me. You know this the first time. This and I honestly didn’t know. Probably, hopefully, it won’t be a next time, I pray it don’t. And if there are any victims, you know, the thing is to get out of this situation, its not worth it.”
