Victims identified in deadly shooting at Motel 6 on Victory Drive

Update: The two victims in a Saturday night deadly shooting in Columbus have now been identified.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has confirms 54-year-old Michael Carter Sr. and 19-year-old Michael Carter Jr. were both found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

WRBL has learned the wife/mother of the victims is in critical condition after being shot in the neck. WRBL has also received report that a child was shot.

Dozens of law enforcement officials responded to the scene. The call came into the Columbus Police Department around 9 PM Saturday evening.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting at the Motel 6 on Victory Drive in South Columbus.

According to CPD there are multiple victims.

The Muscogee County Coroner has also been called to the scene.
