Early Saturday morning stabbing leaves one dead on 32nd Avenue

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL) – Columbus Police are investigating an early Saturday morning stabbing that left one man dead.

Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton confirms 31-year-old AntonioZaire Blanding died of stab wounds at 3:01 a.m.

Police say Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m., Police responded to the area of 32nd Avenue, between Cusseta Road and Lee  Street, in reference to a stabbing.

When they arrived, first responders located dead from at least one apparent stab wound. The Homicide Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation, which is ongoing.

No other details are being released at this time.
