Columbus Police hold news conference Monday morning, announce 39 arrests in Operation Enough is Enough

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department held a news conference Monday morning in reference to a sting operation that resulted in dozens of arrests.

According to Columbus Police Chief Freddie Blackmon, throughout the month of October, the Crime Suppression Unit worked to apprehend a total of 39 individuals in Operation Enough is Enough.

Blackmon said 113 outstanding warrants were cleared during the operation.

The warrants cleared include the following: 

  • 7 outstanding murder warrant cleared
  • 17 aggravated assault warrant cleared
  • 1 Rape warrant cleared
  • 1 Kidnapping warrant cleared
  • 8 firearms seized
