Drivers are at risk for exploding airbags


If you have an older Honda or Acura made from 2001-2003 have Takata airbags that can explode and send shrapnel flying.

More than 300,000 people own the affected modes that are:

  • Honda Civic 2001-2002
  • Honda Accord 2001-2002
  • Acura TL 2002-2003
  • Honda CRV 2002
  • Honday Odyssey 2002
  • Acura CL 2003
  • Honda Pilot 2003

The National Highway Traffic Safety officials is urging drivers to have the cars inspected as soon as possible. They say new data shows chances are as high as 50% that airbags can explode in a crash.

11 people have died and more than 100 have been injured.
