Gil’s Auto robbery suspect arrested

PHENIX CITY, Ala. – Phenix City Police say 31-year-old Quincy Moore of Columbus robbed the Gil’s Auto Sales on US Highway 280 at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

Police say he pulled a gun on an employee and took the safe from the business. Moore was later arrested in the Walmart parking lot and police recovered the safe.

Moore is charged with robbery and obstructing justice by using a false ID.

Police are also pursuing Federal firearms charges against Moore.

Moore is being held in the Russell County Jail.
