Lanett, AL. — A talented football player in this area usually commits to the SEC. But that’s not the case for Lanett’s 4-star safety Trikweze Bridges who committed to the Oregon Ducks on Monday.
During Lanett’s state title run last year, Bridges played both offense and defense.
He totaled more than 850 yards and scored nine touchdowns as a receiver while grabbing 10 interceptions as a safety, which is the position he’ll be playing at Oregon.
He also had 17 pass breakups, five forced fumbles and more than 100 tackles. Bridges choose Oregon over LSU, Florida State, Penn State and Oklahoma.
Bridges also helped lead the Panthers to their third straight state championship in basketball last season.
