LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) – A teen has died in what appears to be an ATV crash along Lee Road 393, according to Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.

Addition information released Tuesday by the coroner confirms the 15-year-old Loachapoka teen killed Monday evening was Jaiden Ezell, of Loachapoka. Harris says Ezell was riding a four-wheel ATV on the dirt portion of Lee Road 393 when he apparently lost control and left the roadway, ejecting him from the ATV.

“He was killed instantly from a severe head injury and multiple blunt force injuries. He was not wearing a helmet,” said Harris.

There were no other vehicles involved. The accident remains under investigation by ALEA.

Correction: A previous version of this story identified the deceased as 14-years-old, the initial age provided by the coroner. The coroner has since clarified the correct age is 15.
