Substitute teacher Victoria Cothran has been fired from the Muscogee County School District following an arrest on April 18 for Criminal Trespass and Simple Battery.

Cothran was fired after the MCSD received notification of her arrest. Additionally, the former substitute teacher will “no longer be eligible for assignment to any District schools or sites in any capacity, effective immediately,” according to Mercedes Parham, Director of Communications and Open Records Officer for the MCSD.

Cothran’s firing marks the second subsitute teacher termination from MCSD within a week, following the arrest of Alexander White on April 16.
