ALABAMA: Ivey declares state of emergency

ALABAMA (WRBL) - Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey declared a "State of Emergency" Monday as Hurricane Michael Barrels closer to the U.S.

The state of emergency activates the Alabama emergency operation plan. 

"Alabama is once again in the path of a hurricane, but I know Alabamians will once again come together and be prepared for whatever Michael may bring,"  said Gov. Ivey.
