MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) — State Sen. Clay Scofield, R-Guntersville, is sponsoring a bill that would amend the law to allow more areas of the state to be eligible for funding grants.
Members of the Alabama state House and Senate will join Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth in discussing the importance of legislation that will expand broadband access in Alabama. Lawmakers say the infrastructure bills address the unfairness faced by many rural citizens and small businesses that do not have reliable high-speed Internet access.
