A Sumter County inmate has died according to Sheriff Pete Smith.
Sheriff Smith says the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Jail staff notified the in-house medical department about Amanda Trawick being unresponsive.
The medical staff then called 911 at which time Trawick was announced deceased.
Trawick was being charged with public drunkenness.
The cause of her death is still being investigated. Sheriff Pete says the investigation is in the hands of the GBI.
