Auburn Police arrest two for drug activity, recover drugs, money and guns

AUBURN, AL - Auburn Police arrested two men for drug-related activity on Tuesday.

Police arrested Cedreko Lamar Johnson, 26 from Opelika, for Possession with Intent to Distribute (methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Xanax), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) and two counts of third-degree Receiving Stolen Property.

The second man arrested was 22-year-old Dimitri Glendale Modley, from Tuscaloosa. He was charged with Giving False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer.

Auburn Police say they received a suspicious incident call at a home in the 300 block of Webster Road. Johnson and Modley were contacted at the home.

Authorities say Modley was initially taken into custody for giving a false name to officers.

Police say they recovered two stolen handguns, a quantity of marijuana, meth, cocaine, Xanax and $1600 in U.S. currency from the home and a vehicle.

Both men were transported to the Lee County Jail where Johnson was being held on a $21,000 bond and Modley remained in custody on a $500 bond. The case remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division Narcotics Section.
