An Auburn restaurant will hold a pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 9th to benefit Auburn Police Office Justin Sanders, who was shot after responding to a robbery call on February 15th
Niffer’s Place, located at 1151 Opelika Rd., will host the fundraiser from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. CST, with all proceeds going to help with Sanders’ recovery.
According to the restuarant’s website, the pancake breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice or fountain drink for $10 per person, with tickets sold at the door.
Niffer’s will also raffle off a $200 gift card.
Sanders was shot several times on February 15th after stopping a vehicle that matched the description of one believed to have been involved in a robbery of a local pharmacy.
He was taken to UAB Medical Center in Birmingham where he underwent treatment. He is back in Auburn now, continuing to recover from his injuries.
