CHAMBERS CO. Ala. (WRBL) – A Chambers County business is in trouble for allegedly selling  tobacco products to minors after citizen complaints sparked an investigation.

Chambers County Sheriff Sid Lockhart says for several months law enforcement agencies received multiple complaints of a local business selling alcohol and tobacco to minors. Sheriff Lockhart’s Office along with local police and Alabama’s State Bureau of Investigation Alcohol Division investigated the complaints.

On September 25th, Big Cat Fuel located at 3006 S Phillips Rd, Lanett, AL. was found to be selling tobacco products known as “Jewels” to minors by Alabama SBI’s Alcohol Division. The business will now be receiving citations from the ABC board.

Sheriff Lockhart is thanking School Resource Officers of each police department for their assistance in these complaints and Alabama SBI for their continued support throughout Chambers County in these type cases.

Parents, you are urged to come forward to your local law enforcement agency if you suspect a business is selling alcohol or tobacco products to minors.
