City employees take part in roadside clean up

LaGrange city employees remove neighborhood litter

LAGRANGE, Ga (WRBL) - LaGrange City Manager Meg Kelsey is serious about cleaning up litter.

Kelsey and over 460 city employees with be picking up litter as part of the city’s new campaign, “Leaving LaGrange Better Than We Found It.”

City offices will be closed until 1 p.m. on Friday, as city officials sweep the neighborhoods to show just how beautiful their city can be.

Employees will be spread throughout LaGrange, wearing special t-shirts designed for today's event as well as reflective safety vests. Clean up crews will also receive safety gloves, trash bags and a pin for the event as well.
