Auburn is celebrating “National Parks and Recreation Month” by giving a park a few changes.
The City is making upgrades to numerous parks this year in hopes of making them more accessible for everyone.
They say the upgrades are all about making people feel included. They are working to make their facilities safe for all residents especially those with disabilities.
“The city has started the transition plan to ADA and we are constantly working at all of our facilities to bring them up to ADA compliance,” Financial Project Manager for City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Kevin Kelly says.
The playgrounds at Duck Samford Park are closed during renovations, but the City has recently re-opened Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
