Clydesdales help usher in holiday spirit

Local News

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Budweiser’s Clydesdales are helping usher in the holiday spirit in Columbus.  They were at Columbus Park Crossing for a few hours Thursday night.

Folks gathered as the eight horses made their way around the shopping center.  The horses weigh an average of 2,000 pounds each.

Aisha Moye is happy to have shared the excitement of seeing the Clydesdales with her three children.

“It was exciting.  They were huge.  I’ve never seen one up close that I can remember.  I was younger when I saw one and they were immaculate.  They were beautiful,” she said.

The Clydesdales will be in town through the weekend.  On Saturday, they will be at the block party on Broadway at 4 p.m and they will be at Fort Benning on Sunday afternoon.

The hitch horses meet millions of Americans a year.
