COLUMBUS, Ga — The suspect connected to the death of local baseball coach David Pollard will be held without bond for a murder charge.
19-year-old William Cross appeared in court Thursday morning for the hit-and-run crash that claimed Pollard’s life.
Police say tips, video and a sweatshirt left at the scene are what led to Cross’ arrest. They also say Cross was found and arrested at the Value Place on Victory Drive.
Police continue say an anonymous tipster says Cross’ mother told a local pastor she knew her son was involved in the crash.
Cross is also charged with homicide by vehicle, theft by taking auto, among other charges.
Pollard was killed in the crash on April 18.More details to follow on News 3 Evening Edition.
