Columbus moves summer trash pickup times an hour earlier

Local News

The City of Columbus is moving up its trash pickup times by an hour to help workers avoid the heat of the day.

The city announced Thursday that effective immediately all sanitation routes will begin at 7:30 each morning.  That’s an hour earlier than the usual start time.

Please be sure to have your trash out by 7:30 on the morning of your trash pickup.

You can also move your trash out to the road right-of-way after 5:30 the day before your pickup.
