Dinglewood Pharmacy is asking the community for their favorite memories.
Terry Hurley has own the pharmacy since 1974 and has some great memories of his own, but as the community staple turns 100 he’s asking customers to share theirs.
The walls of the pharmacy have photos and paintings celebrating the past 99 years. One employee, known simply as “The Lieutenant” has been around for 74 of them. Dinglewood has catered weddings in Italy, it has hosted the Cuban National Choir, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and “Good Times” actress Esther Rolle.
Hurley and his staff have plenty of memories of their own throughout the years, but as the plan to celebrate turning 100, they want the community’s memories. After all, without the community the pharmacy and soda fountain wouldn’t have lasted this long.
If you have memories you’d like to share, you can do so in person, or online through the Dinglewood Pharmacy facebook page.
