Independence Day events are happening all across the valley. See what family fun event is happening near you!

Auburn

  • Official Event: City of Auburn 4th of July Fireworks: Duck Samford Stadium, 1720 E University Dr, Auburn — 6 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CT
  • Gates will open at 6 p.m., entertainment will begin at 7 p.m., and the fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Please remember the parking lot off of Airport Road will be closed to the public during the event to accommodate our firework site. However, the parking lot off of E. University Drive next to the Old Duck fields will be OPEN to the public for parking.
  • Entertainment: Special musical entertainment will be provided by Mojiles. Mojiles brings an energetic mix of Top 40 Country Hits, 70’s Classics, 80’s Rock, and Top 40 Dance music that everyone is sure to enjoy!

Columbus

  • Parade: Catch the Springer Opera House’s 4th of July Parade down Broadway at 3pm
  • Main Event: Freedom Fest 2018 at the National Infantry Museum 1775 Legacy Way, Columbus, Georgia 31903 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 
  • Cost: Free 
  • Entertainment:
    • Interactive demonstrations from the living historians at Historic Westville.
    • Treadstone Climbing Gym is bringing a rock climbing wall suitable even for small children.
    • All day, kids will enjoy bounce houses, face and hair painting, balloon animals and old-fashioned family games.

Eufaula

  • Official Event: The City of Eufaula’s Independence Day celebration will be held Wednesday, July 4th at Lakepoint State Park Marina (104 Lakepoint Drive, Eufaula, AL 36027) from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
  • Cost: Free 
  • ” As usual, there will be a huge fireworks display, but the point of shooting has changed. Please watch for parking signs as you enter the park. No personal fireworks – it is illegal!’

Opelika (Tuesday, July 3) 

  • Main Event: 66th Annual Freedom Celebration: Opelika High School Track, 1700 Lafayette Pkwy, Opelika — 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. CT
  • Entertainment:  Performance by the Silver Wings Parachute Team at 7:30 p.m. and live entertainment by Route 66.
    • There will be inflatable games, hamburgers, hotdogs, popcorn and activities for the whole family. The fireworks will begin at dark.

  • Main event: 34th Annual Sweet Land of Liberty Parade happening at 10 a.m. 
  • 110 Smith St (38.75 mi) LaGrange, Georgia 30240
  • The theme of the parade this year is ‘Home of the Brave.’

Phenix City 

  • Official Event: Phenix City celebration 
  • Time and location: 4 PM – 10 PM CDT
  • Hosted By: City of Phenix City, Alabama – Municipal Government
  • Cost: Free 

” The evening will be filled with live music, a food truck court, and a FIREWORKS show. LIVE MUSIC featuring: Magnetic Musos, Mango Strange, Pocket Hounds, and Artist at Large Neal Lucas. Fireworks will go off at DARK THIRTY “
