Family members continue to wait at Lake Oliver Marina while crews search for child in Bibb Pond

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL) - It's been one week since Ryan and Beau Rabon went missing under the cold, dark Bibb Pond waters, and search crews continue to look for 4-year-old Beau.

Search crews recovered the father, 27-year-old James Ryan Rabon, Sunday, April 1st.

Family members continue to spend their days around the Lake Oliver Marina praying for a miracle.

They say Beau loved to fish and fishing with his daddy was his favorite. The child's fourth birthday party in February was "fishing" themed. They share that Beau had a huge heart, and that he enjoyed making people laugh.

The family says that Ryan loved his family and that he was a dedicated husband and father. The family says they've heard witness accounts of Ryan going in after Beau and trying to save his child with all his might. They say they would expect nothing less of him.

Thursday, search crews from South Carolina (where Ryan Rabon is from) are coming to assist with recovery efforts. Georgia Power is expected to drop the water an extra two feet.

The family says their faith in God, and believing they will see Ryan and Beau again is pulling them through.

They say they are so grateful for the efforts put in by search crews.

The father and son were fishing together Wednesday, March 28, when authorities say witness accounts recall 4-year-old Beau falling in and his father going in after him.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family to help with funeral costs and to help support Ryan's wife and surviving children.
