Feeding the Valley gives away 1,000 boxes of food

Local News

1,000 boxes of food were given away in Columbus as The Mission Continues works to feed those in need around the Valley.

Starting around 12:00 in the afternoon, cars lined up in front of ACE Hardware on Victory Drive to receive the gift from the organization.

The Mission Continues is made up of mostly military veterans who say they enjoy giving back and continuing to serve the community.

“I love helping people. I love it, and need to feel like I am giving to others and helping out, and if it’s by taking pictures and taking video to get the word out, but it most means really to get the word out there because it is in my heart to help others and anything that has to do with an organization like Mission Continues that’s giving to the community at large I love it,” says Jesus Celeste.

Feeding the Valley happens in Phenix City as well as other cities Chattahoochee Valley.

You can learn where they’ll be giving out food next on their website MissionContinues.org.
