Shopping for just the right gift can be a challenge but it doesn’t have to be.
Especially when a product has been given the “Parent Tested Parent Approved” seal
or “PTPA” seal.
Founder and CEO of “Parent Tested, Parent Approved” Sharon Vinderine explains how it works.
“If you see that seal, you know it has stood up to the test of time. Your peers loved it because we sent those products out to consumers and they give us their feedback and that’s the only way a product can earn the seal.”
Some of her favorite gift ideas include an item called NIMA which could be a lifesaver for those with peanut or gluten allergies.
“You take a morsel of food, insert it in this tiny capsule, insert it into this machine and within minutes, you know whether that food has any of those allergens in it.”
An idea for the technology lover on your list is the Memory Mic, a wireless microphone which works with your cellphone.
“Imagine you’re at your child’s play and you’re late and sitting in the back row and you have this attached to your child and you’re able to record your child and you can hear audio as if you’re sitting in the front row.”
Another idea is a headset which delivers 3-D audio but also allows you to hear the world around you.
It’s a great idea for runners or bicyclists.
For the grandparents, Sharon says a turntable is a good idea.
“You can spin some of those vintage carols.”
Some special dolls teach children how to help those in need.
“They are made in Peru, have their own personality, their own quote and their own birth date and when you buy one, meals are purchased for needy children.”
Sharon says no matter what gift idea you come up with, make sure it has the PTPA seal of approval.
