Five arrested in meth investigation in Newnan

NEWNAN, GA - The GBI West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office and Newnan Police Department in Newnan, GA, have arrested five suspects after a methamphetamine investigation on Thursday.  

Police have charged the following people:

  • Sean Robert Bussard, 40, of Hepzibah, GA was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Schedule II Pills; 
  • George David Butler, 33, of Hepzibah, GA was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Tangela Molden, 29, of Newnan, GA was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Warner Parks, 37, of Newnan, GA was charged with Possession of Marijuana
  • Curtis Rosser, 29, of Atlanta, GA was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana

According to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, agents received information about people in the Newnan area attempting to buy one-half of a kilogram of meth.

Authorities say after continuing the investigation, they received consent to search a vehicle and hotel room by people located at the La Quinta Inn in Newnan, GA.

The press release says they recovered about two pounds of meth, and more than $6,000, 17 assorted Schedule II pills, and less than an ounce of marijuana.
