Georgetown mother arrested for contributing to death of her daughter in a traffic crash

Georgotwn mother Tresia Lynn Chrystler has been arrested in relation to the death of her four year-old daughter Josie on January 19.

Chrystler and her daughter were involved in a traffic crash on Eufala Avenue on Jan. 11, where their Toyota Camry “ran into the back of an 18-wheeler,” according to a press release. While Josie was air lifted to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, she died Jan. 19 as a result of her injuries.

Following the Traffic homicide Unit’s investigation, Chrystler has been arrested with warrants for Manslaughter, Driving Under the Influence, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Psossesion of Marijuana in the 2nd degree, and Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia.

Chryster is being held at the Eufala City Jail while waiting for a bond hearing.
