GUNTERSVILLE, Ala (WRBL) - Police discovered a grandmother and her grandson brutally murdered in what neighbors describe as a usually quiet neighborhood in Guntersville.
Police say 74-year-old Marie Martin and her 7-year-old great grandson Colton Lee were found dead at a home on Mulberry Street.
Two other people have been found dead in the same neighborhood, but police haven't linked the crimes. They say they aren't ruling anything out as they search for the suspect.
"A lot of us have been doing this.... A lot of us have been doing this a really long time and it's tough and it should be tough for us but I can tell you if you think we need motivation we don't when we have something like this going here," says Chief Jim Peterson.
Police aren't releasing other investigation details at this time. However, they say they will work until the case is solved.
