Saturday, dozens of Georgia Red Cross volunteer teams moved into areas hardest hit by Hurricane Michael—to parts of GA, the Panhandle and Alabama.
They brought food and supplies to people in need.
 
In all, more than 1,000 trained Red Cross disaster workers are on the ground, throughout the three affected states, working with Red Cross partners to provide the most help.
 
Currently, the following Red Cross shelters are open in Georgia:
