he last two suspects in the Dec. 9 murder of 34-year-old Derrick Scott were arrested Wednesday in the area of Cusseta Road and 32ndAvenue, Columbus police said in a news release Thursday morning.
Demetrius Domingoanton Pride, 18, and Christian Caulton, 19, were apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Columbus Police Department Special Operations Unit.
They were both booked into the Muscogee County Jail and each charged with murder. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m. in Recorder’s Court.
Scott was found shot on Dec. 9 about 10:44 a.m. at the Sands Apartments on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Scott was transported to the Piedmont Regional Medical Center where he passed away as a result of his injuries.
The police investigation determined that Scott was inside apartment No. 8 when five armed suspects attempted to enter the apartment.
Dondrell Marquez Tells, 21, and Terrell Markell Lee, 24, had been arrested previously. Jaheem Diquon Rozier, 18, was arrested in Auburn, Ala.
