Authorities with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in a child porn investigation.
Authorities say 38-year-old Rocky William Ellis was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
On January 4, 2019, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from FBI reporting that Ellis was possibly in possession of child pornography. The Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into this allegation which led to the discovery of evidence leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Ellis’s home.
Authorities executed a search warrant at his home located in the 200 block of Lee Road 377 Valley, Al.
Investigators recovered seven cell phones, one lap top computer, four X-box gaming systems, one play station gaming system, two external hard drives and various types of media storage devices.
The search also uncovered more than three hundred and fifty images of child pornography depicting children under the ages of 9 years old. It is not believed that any of the children in the photographs are from our surrounding area.
Ellis is currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on a $30,000.00 dollar bond.
