Columbus Police have identified a suspect after 3 pitbull dogs maul a man.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Deaunte Nobles on 7 counts of reckless conduct.
According to the police report, the 3 pitbulls were not properly contained and had a history of aggression when they attacked a man.
The report says the attack happened on Earline Ave near 38th Street on August 11.
Police say Nobles sent a witness away following the attack, telling the witness he would call the police. The witness tells police he returned to the scene 2 hours later to find the victim lying beside the road, bleeding profusely.
Both of the victim’s arms have been amputated because of his injuries.
Police say when Animal Control came to take the dogs, Nobles did not turn the dogs over and hid the dogs at another location.
