Montgomery man arrested on felony and misdemeanor warrants.

 The Auburn Police Division has arrested a man on felony and misdemeanor warrants.

Police charged De’Marquis L. Russell, 19, from Montgomery, with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft of property, fleeing/attempting to elude an officer, carrying a concealed weapon and giving false information to law enforcement.   
Police say officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 1300 block of South Donahue Drive just before 3:30 a.m. on Thursday. Officers say they saw a suspicious male with agun
who immediately started running away.

Police say after a foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and the firearm was recovered. 

They say the male initially provided a false name, but was later identified as De’Marquis L. Russell and was determined to have been responsible for the burglary.      
Police say Russell was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $33,000 bond.
