Nightly lane closures on I-185 begin next week for slab replacement

COLUMBUS, Ga - The Georgia Department of Transportation will begin their scheduled nightly road closures on I-85 northbound in Muskogee county for concrete slab replacement on Monday,  June 4.

The following roads will be closed: Exit 1A/B; SR 520/Victory Drive and Exit 8; Airport Thruway road from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. 

The department says all work and closure times are dependent on weather conditions. Work is scheduled to be completed by mid-July. 

They also want you to know that whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; read signs and expect the unexpected.
