Omega Psi Phi Community health and resource fair

COLUMBUS,Ga (WRBL) - The lambda Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated hosted an informative and engaging event in hopes of having guests be fully aware on their health.

More than 50 people came out to the Columbus public library to get free health screenings while connecting with vendors on health providers they could take.

Organizers say the fair can not only benefit visitors with proper health care, but can assist those needing additional help.

"We are actually coming out and partnering with Amerigroup to assist the community with either their GED, getting health screenings done or providing like services for those who may need utility bills paid or things of that nature,” says Anthony Smith, Omega Psi Phi Achievement Week Chairman.

The event has been a part of their program for over 40 years while celebrating their mandated achievement week program.
