Parents of missing 6-month-old speak out

COLUMBUS, GA (WRBL) - The parents of a 6-month-old baby who went missing over the weekend are now speaking out about what happened.

They say their child was taken from them without their permission.

"Before this, she seemed like a nice person," says Alana Willis.

That's what Alana Willis had to say about the woman she says, took her child without her permission. Chris and Alana are the parents of 6-month-old Naomi. On Saturday, as they headed to the Riverwalk.. their worst nightmare happened.

"Me, her and them (two boys playing next door) were riding bikes. Tami was pushing the stroller. We all were riding bikes and she was supposed to meet us. She never showed up," says Chris Willis.

The Willis' says Tami Tracy took Naomi, right from under their noses. Chris says he looked up and down the Riverwalk and his wife went back to the house. No sign of Tami or their daughter.

"It was just a stressful day. She never showed up," says Chris Willis. "It was worriness (sp), confusion and betrayal and trying to figure out if she's going to bring her back. just a lot of emotions," he continued.

After the police were called. All they could do was wait.

"She disappeared with her a little after 12 and didn't bring her back until 11 something that night," Alana said.

Then finally... Their child was returned. So where had little Naomi been?

"We found out that she took her to Lake Oliver and stayed there for about 30 minutes. And then got picked up by a dude she was supposed to be meeting. She told him that it was her biological daughter named Jade and taking pictures and telling everybody "See I told her I had a daughter"," Chris said.

Alana is grateful for the folks who posted about her missing baby on social media.

"I'm blessed and thankful to everyone who came out and helped."
