Phenix City Police searching for missing 12-year-old boy last seen getting off school bus

UPDATE: (4/17/19 Wednesday 11:30AM eastern time)  Phenix City Police tell News 3 Justin has just been located near his home and is being returned to his family. No other information is available at this time.  The Phenix City Police department is thankful to the public for their assistance in this case.

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) –  The Phenix City Police Department has issued a Missing Child Alert for a 12-year-old boy last seen getting off a school bus on Tuesday, April 16th around 4:30 PM near his home in the area of Misty Forest Drive.

The child’s name is Justin Antonio Williams. He is 12-years-old, 4’9″ and 80 lbs.  Police tell News 3 his mother watched Justin get on the bus Tuesday morning around 7:30. She has not heard from him since. Justin was last seen getting off the school bus that afternoon in the Misty Forest Drive area of Phenix City, wearing a blue sweater with blue jeans and a grey book bag.

Police believe it is not Justin’s character to run away from home. They say he has never been in any trouble, he is studious and a great kid. Investigators are speaking with school officials trying to gather more information in the case.
