Soldiers from Fort Benning will be donating supplies to the Ronald McDonald House this morning.
Carrying over 200 pounds of donations, the soldiers will be marching the supplies. Each soldier will carry approximately 35 pounds during the march. The march will start at the National Infantry Museum and continue along the Chattahoochee River Walk.
The Ronald McDonald House provides cost-free lodging for families in the area seeking pediatric care at one of the areas local hospitals. In addition to lodging, the Ronald McDonald House also provides transportation and a hot meal every day of the year.
Assistant Director of the Ronald McDonald House, Tiffany Bamberger tells News 3 the donations are what make the cost-free services possible.
