The Columbus Police Department has charged a man in the Alta Vista murder.
Police charged Raphael Antwone Raymond with the murder of 74-year-old William Meadows.
Authorities say they received a call about shots being heard on the street on April 28 around 4 p.m.
Investigators say police could not determine where the shots were coming from.
On April 29 around 10:30 a.m, police received another call about a person being shot on Alta Vista Drive.
There they discovered Meadows.
Investigators say people were driving down Alta Vista Drive repeatedly firing a pistol and a few rounds hit Meadows.
