The jury reached a unanimous vote of finding 23 year old Devin Durden guilty to this case.

earlier in the courtroom prosecutors argued Durden may not be the person who pulled the trigger, killing 50 year old Dwayne Chronister, but he was a party to the crime. the d-a says there’s video surveillance and photos that shows Durden wearing an unusual pair of green lace Nike shoes.

The defense argued the quality of the videos and photos presented in court were not clear. There were no fingerprints, no gun was ever found and authorities never checked Durden’s phone records.

“I wish they would have taken a little longer and look at some of the photos they would have come up with a different solution to this, but I have to agree with that they do,” says Adam Deaver, Defense Attorney.

“I think justice was served I think Mr. Chronister received justice in this case, the cab driver was shot in the back of the head,” says Al Whitaker, Chief Assistant District Attorney.

Durden was found guilty for, felony murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, but was found not guilty to malice murder.

The sentencing for this case will be held March 22nd in Recorder’s Court at 9 a.m.
