A third-grade teacher at Key Elementary School in Columbus is our latest Kinetic Golden Apple Award Recipient.
Jeneka Bennett is a Columbus State Graduate, who accepted the award from News 3’s Carlos Williams.
Bennett was nominated by Phyllis Lloyd-Jones, who told News 3 that Bennett is an asset to the Key Elementary family.
Bennet was overjoyed to receive the award and talked about what she knows about her school and career.
“Oh I love it, I love it. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. I love my faculty, everybody’s like a family. I have true friends here and I just love the atmosphere, I love being here,” Bennett says.
Kinetic representative Haley Hudson, as well as Key Principal Jacqueline Flakes, were on hand to congratulate Ms. Bennett.
