Officials with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office have closed two roads in the southern end of the county due to washouts.
A section of Wright Road in Troup County has washed out because of the heavy overnight rains that moved through the region. There is also a section of Bill Taylor Road that closed, Sgt. Stewart Smith said.
The sheriff’s office has posted pictures of both roads on its Facebook page this morning by the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.
Wright Road is in southern Troup County, south of Mountville. The road is closed until further notice.
“They are both primarily rural residential roads and not major thoroughfares,” Smith said.
Both roads have been barricaded.
