A Union Springs man has died after a car crash early Wednesday morning.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the crash happened at 6:55 a.m. when 27-year-old Jerome Jones’ 2005 Toyota Avalon left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. he crash occurred on U.S. 82 near the 204 mile marker, approximately five miles east of Union Springs

ALEA says Jones was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead a short time later at Baptist Medical Center South.
