UPDATE: Montravious Thomas 25 million dollar lawsuit

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL) - New developments Tuesday morning...in the 25 million dollar lawsuit against the Muscogee County School District following the alleged body-slamming incident of a teen. 

The alleged incident that happened 19 months ago left the then 13-year-old Montravious Thomas hospitalized and forced to have his leg amputated. 

Our media partner, The Ledger-Enquirer reports MCSD has been dropped from the suit. Thomas allegedly body-slammed five times by a contracted behavior specialist. The five school district employee named in the suit have been dropped as defendants in their individual capacities. They remain defendants in their individual capacities, as do the specialist, Bryant Alexander Mosley, and his employer at the time, Mentoring and Behavioral Services of Columbus.
