Valentine’s Day is the busiest time of year for florists all over the country– and Columbus is no exception.
Red roses are the biggest seller this time of year.
Mariam McEntire, owner of the House of Blair Florist in Columbus says she and her staff have been working overtime.
“It will be nonstop a lot of times. We actually do our catching up and do our arrangements, done in the evening, so we’re working very late in the evenings just to make sure everybody gets their flowers on time,” said McEntire.
McEntire adds that often times customers tell her they are happier ordering flowers from local shops instead of online. She says customers usually express higher levels of satisfication with their orders when they use a local florist.
